Louis XIII Back to French Reproductions  Louis XIII, French, 17th century. 2 1/4" wide, special grayish "nic" antique, carved motif. This convex moulding has a continuous vine and leaf pattern inspired by Medieval and Renaissance motifs. The design would later influence French and American Barbizon frame makers of the 19th century.
