The House of Heydenryk

The House of Heydenryk will fully restore an antique picture frame to its original state, by utilizing the same materials and techniques of the artisans who built it. We will adjust the size if it is necessary by cutting down or expanding the frame to fit the artwork. Our expert carvers and gilders can repair and refinish each antique in accordance with the client's specifications and needs.

Our beloved master carver Alex Gagna has worked at the House of Heydenryk for over 60 years, longer than any employee in the company's history. He is a legend in his field and has been profiled in such magazines as Architectural Digest and The New Yorker. Alex left Italy during the late 1930s and eventually succeeded his father Eugenio as the head carver at the firm. He is seen restoring the missing ornamentation of an 18th-century cassetta frame.
